I have just written several attempts at a post about being home, and being alone, and the process of binding a quilt but GOD it was so boring so I deleted it each time. Instead, here's the photo recap of my morning. It's like a choose-your-own-adventure, but with a broken ruler, a rotary cutter and a sewing machine. Gah! The excitement! And there was some self-indulgent auditioning of the unbound quilt on the spare bed, too.
See you in a couple of days, when this is all over.
I'd have read it!
ReplyDeleteYou're my quilting hero.
It's just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI received my beautiful sunnyboy bag in the mail yesterday...thanks so much, I love it! Will be bloggin' it tomorrow when I get a nice photo.
That is a huge job but I must say in the bed "audition" it looks great!
ReplyDeleteThat is an extremely gorgeous quilt. It looks great on your spare bed (our spare bed matches yours, spooky) and now I am compelled to make a queen size quilt for our spare room. When are you going to write a binding tutorial?
ReplyDeleteThis looks so lovely on your bed. You deserve a HUGE round of applause. Cherrie

ReplyDeleteThe quilt is stunning. Why have I never thought of using clips to hold the binding in place? So much easier than pinning!
ReplyDeleteMichelle
Oh wow, how utterly amazing! I've never seen hair clips used that way before, either!
ReplyDeleteBlimey your photographs are mouthwatering. I love your quilt. I have severe quilt envy.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is fabulous, a month or 2 ago I went to the quilting fair in Sydney and gee I have to say quilters are insane, the amount of work and detail that goes into some of those quilts, I was blown away.
ReplyDeleteI hope the word insane doesn't offend you.
Fave song as post title!
