This week I've been busy applying for a job. Well, I've been busy procrastinating about applying for the job.
I've been spending a little time each day enjoying the most beautiful sunshine, sitting on the stairs of my deck and eating my lunch. The garden is so exciting at the moment - the viburnums are sending out their white puffy flowers, the crabapple is about to shoot and the frogs in the pond are warming up for a massive season of croaking.
I expect I'll be spending some more time out here today, trying to work out how to squish answers to seven selection criteria into only 2 pages without resorting to Arial 8 pt.
Maybe if I spent more time doing than thinking ... oh, that could be so dangerous!

Looks like a beautiful day..."jealous" :P....gotta love procrastination..I am a pro at it..
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the job app and enjoy the sun while you can!
ReplyDeleteThat sandwich looks really good. And I think that thinking about applying is just prep for the actual applying, so it counts. :)
ReplyDeleteI am a massive procrastinator and it is so frustrating when I think about the time I've wasted thinking about what I want to be doing instead of getting done what i need to be doing. But, I am also comfortable justifying some of it as "important thinking time". Good luck with the application!
ReplyDeleteStop procrastinating! Not that I can talk!
ReplyDeleteAnd I have garden love at the moment too.
PS my word verification is Coles.
Yum. Hasn't the sunshine been lovely. Too good to be working ~ that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with it all. Any progress on the skirt? I just love that fabric.
ReplyDeleteYum! What a tasty looking lunch :-)
ReplyDeleteMaking the margins really small can sometimes help! And then choosing a paragraph that has only one word in the last line of it to attack means you don't have to cut as many words to get a whole extra line to work with!! I have had lots of practice at this ;-)
That's a yummy sanga you got there!! Good luck with the procrastinating hehe...

But its so much fun THINKING about what you could be doing - pass that sandwich over and I'll join you - and we'll think....
ReplyDeleteThat sandwich looks delicious! I can understand the procrastinating on doing a job application, specially with the lovely weather up there.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the job application. For some reason I can't see your pics, I will pop in again later.
ReplyDeleteLunching and garden gazing is so much more interesting than answering selection criteria. Just tell them that I said you're fabulous darling!
ReplyDeleteThat sandwich looks yum and the sound of your garden a delight. Good luck with the job application.
ReplyDeleteOh the good old Canberra PS selection Criteria rigmarole! Hope you got it sorted. Hasn't it been very lovely Spring weather lately.
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with 7.5pt Arial in my book - good luck!
ReplyDeleteI think procrastinating is valuable thinking time - I reckon when you come to write your answers they'll flow out like wine!
ReplyDeleteWhen I read "seven selection criteria" I shuddered.... they I read Tammy James' comment and I shuddered again. Having been there, done that, I'm sending lots of positive vibes your way to get that bloody ridiculously long application done.
ReplyDeleteOhh, that reminds me that I should be applying for a job too... I'm postponing it all the time. Perhaps I should also spent a few hours each day doing that... Good luck on the job hunt - I hope you will find a job that you love! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling hungry again now, hmmm.
