Countdown to Christmas: 11

Christmas, for me, is all about creating and celebrating and making other people happy.

Washcloths and soap

What is Christmas all about for you?

  1. Your soaps and washcloths look beautiful all packaged up together. My fave thing about christmas is watching my nephews open all of their pressies and seeing the excitement on their faces. After all of that, we have pancakes and bacon for brekky.

  2. I love finding things for people that I think they will love and letting them know I love and appreciate them. That is what it is about for me - and champagne

  3. Those washcloths look so cool. My favourite thing is the kids excitement. My wish is to avoid all the wasteful frippery. My dream is to be away from the family obligations... But I love the concept of Christmas!

  4. Um...? (I'm sooooo tired this morning.) We're having a small quiet just-us Christmas this year and I'm ecstatic about that. On the other hand, I'm looking forward to giving family the gifts I've made for them. However, I don't think I'd feel Christmas was complete without some sort of anonymous giving--this year for a single dad and his 4 1/2 yo son. Because I know my own kids have so much, I'm really looking forward to that little boy opening his gifts, even though I won't be there to see it. I hope it makes his dad's day as well.

  5. There are lots of things I love - finding and giving gifts to those I love, kids' excitement, the development of a feast.

Its good to be reminded there are good and special things about the season in amongst all the craziness.

  6. You do make lovely packages, they look quite festive and I guess that is a part I never got to see. For me it was always doing retail in front of a screaming customer. I remember closing 40 minutes late at 10:40 pm on the 24th at the bookstore only to have a man start CRYING outside becuase he wanted to be let in. We told him, if he TOLD us the book we would get it for him. He said he needed to browse as he hadn't really started shopping. So that is my christmas memory, counting out five tills while some guy sobbed at the door. It was a creepy holiday that year.
