My little nephew Hugo Dominic was born on 15 May 2006, and I made him this little quilt to hang on his nursery wall. I will be meeting little Hugo for the first time tomorrow, as he lives in Brisbane far away from his Aunty Michelle.
Once I spied these redwork patterns from patternbee.com, I knew they would be ideal. The sashing fabrics are a variety of vintage repro 1930s fabrics in blue, cream and red. All up, the quilt took me two weeks to make.
This is really lovely Michelle. I am sure Hugo will love it..even if his dad is unsure! LOL

love the quilt Michelle, not so sure your brother will be impressed with "Mary" on a boys quilt, my dd refused the redwork quilt I did for her newborn son because it had a doll on it, anyway my gain. Hugo will go far, he was born on my dads bithday, just turned 81. cheers Barb Clark SCQ
