Slowly but shawly I'm gonna wear you down

Although I finished the Radiant Shawl a week ago, it was too hot to block it until last night.

Ta da!!

Ta da!! (sick of it yet? I'm not. Just look at those crazy stripes!)

Only one more project to finish before the show deadline and then I can get stuck into something which isn't compulsory. Like socks in orlow shades, and scarflettes in that new yummy Lincraft Prism stuff, and a Stone Path Hat in the most stunning shade of Cherry Tree Hill Slate I've ever seen.

Here's the progress on the last show project - another Crocus Scarf but this time in Cherry Tree Hill Cherry. Crocheting the scarf hasn't been as mind numbing as I thought it would be - I'm really enjoying it, especially while watching episodes of Cheese Slices on DVD. (mmmmm ... cheese!)

  2. Oh, the Radiant Shawl looks beautiful! I'm so looking forward to the show; I'm a bit of a show tragic. I even get showbags. And the craft pavillion is always a must-see. The crocus scarf looks great, too. Lovely colour to show off the pattern!

You must do a Totoro, you'll probably finish him in a night! He's a very comforting size and shape. I'm plannning to make all three - there's a pattern for the little white one, and I reckon the big grey one could be made by holding 3 strands together on the blue pattern.

The commute is great in the mornings. The afternoons are a nightmare. Seriously, they've been doing those roadworks since 2006! Why is the road still jagged up?!

  3. The shawl is really, really lovely! Superb colours! I've got a crocus scarf waiting to be crocheted too, so you've reminded me to get off my butt and get that hook out. I'm looking forward to finding some of that prism yarn too. I still haven't worked out what quantities are good when adding to the stash - I've got it figured for fabric, but not for yarn! Suggestions welcome!
BTW - you made me cry with your lovely comment on my schoolgirl! Very sweet.
