You can blog, you can sew, having nowhere else to go

Taking inspiration from Jodie, and singing along loudly, here is what I came up with for the bunka fabric.

Sunnyboy zippered pouch

Vintage zippers, while they look pretty, can be quite rubbish with the easy zippy-up action. But I was all about the pretty tonight so I just didn't care.

The pouch is a bit too small for yarn and a project, but definitely the right size for sewing notions, makeup and those little things that always get lost at the bottom of your bag.

  1. Cute! It's making me wanna get my sewing machine out after about a year of inaction.

  2. Cute - real cute. I am presuming it is made from a rectangle of fabric, and just joined to make the pyramid. I will have to experiment today and work it out.

You can make metal zippers run more freely if you lightly run a bar of soap across the teeth - not so much it gums up the teeth, but just a little to "oil" it.

  3. Fantastic, my Friday night may have had a little more red wine (and bad singing)than yours, because it certainly wasn't as productive.

  4. That is really, really nice Michelle! I am enjoying your time out from work, since you now get to do more sewing and crocheting and get to share it with us. Thanks!
